Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. The Whisper War - Exposing Lying Spirits

He was a murderer from the beginning… for he is a liar, and the father of it.        -John 8:44

There’s a war happening, a quiet, subtle, and devastating war. It doesn’t begin with a shout, but with a whisper.
A lying spirit doesn’t storm in with horns and smoke, it enters unnoticed. It hides behind concern, emotion, and even “discernment.”
Its mission? Divide the church, abort the move of God, drive out those carrying fire, and ultimately destroy the spiritual atmosphere of a city.

We think of demons as loud and obvious, but lying spirits are serpents. They slide in undetected, and whisper just enough truth to hook a heart.  Then they twist it just enough to destroy a relationship, a ministry, or a movement.

Lying spirits don’t just tell lies.....they wage war.

Here’s what they come to do:
  • Divide the body – They pit brother against brother, sister against sister. The unity of the Church is its power, so the enemy targets it relentlessly. (Proverbs 6:19)

  • Abort spiritual babies – These spirits speak discouragement, fear, and suspicion into wombs of purpose, choking out assignments before they’re birthed.

  • Push people out – Those who carry revival, healing, and breakthrough often face unrelenting whispers that drive them out of churches and cities.

  • Cripple revival – When truth-bearers are discredited and offended, revival is stalled. The enemy doesn't have to destroy the whole church....just enough to break momentum.

  • Destroy the city’s destiny – A city with a divided church is a city vulnerable to darkness. The Church is meant to be a gatekeeper; division weakens the gates.

These spirits are strategic with their moves....

  • Whispers of offense: “Did you see how she looked at you?” “He’s probably talking about you.”

  • False discernment: “I just feel something is off with them…” But there's no fruit to prove it.

  • Gossip masquerading as prayer requests: “Keep them in prayer… you know they’ve been struggling.....” waiting for you to take the bait and discuss what you know or inquire about what they know.

  • Twisting words: What was said in love gets twisted into something divisive.

  • Flattery, then betrayal: Just like Judas, these spirits often praise you before stabbing you.

  • Isolation: The person carrying truth is often isolated and demonized before they can deliver.

We’re not the first generation to deal with lying spirits.....
  • Eve in the garden – The serpent whispered, “Did God really say…?” (Genesis 3)

  • Jezebel vs. Elijah – Her words sent him into fear and depression. She didn't lift a sword......just her voice.

  • The pharisees and Jesus – Religious leaders stirred up the crowd with lies to crucify the Truth Himself.

  • Ananias and Sapphira – Lied to the Holy Spirit, under demonic influence. It cost them their lives. (Acts 5)

These lying spirits have a mission, they are seeking to abort:
  • Callings – people leave churches, assignments, and spiritual positions prematurely.

  • Unity – ministries divide, friendships fracture, movements die.

  • Authority – leaders under fire begin to question their own assignment.

  • Birthings – dreams, books, businesses, songs, revivals… all lost in the womb.

  • Cities – yes.....entire regions can miss out on the glory God intended to release because of division.

The good news is that we are NOT helpless. We are armed!

Here is what we CAN and SHOULD do....
  • Discern – “Is this truth, or is this a whisper from the pit?” (1 John 4:1)

  • Confront lies with truth – declare the Word out loud. The enemy hates exposure.

  • Walk in light – if the whisper is in secret, drag it into the light with boldness and love.

  • Pray and fast – some of these spirits don’t leave without deep intercession.

  • Guard your tongue – don’t let your mouth become a mouthpiece for hell.

  • Stay planted – unless God calls you to go, stay rooted and resist the push-out.

If we don’t expose these spirits, we risk quite a bit, actually.
  • Spiritual miscarriage after miscarriage.

  • Wounded believers bleeding out in isolation.

  • Prophets silenced, intercessors burned out.

  • Revivals delayed - cities left in darkness.

  • Churches filled, but spiritually dead.

The lying spirit is not just after your feelings.....it’s after your future. It wants to abort what you’re carrying, sever your relationships, and silence your voice.

But God is calling the Church to rise up, test every spirit, and drive out every lie that exalts itself against the knowledge of God!

Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.  -Proverbs 26:20

The time for silence is over! The whisper war ends here!
