Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. Anchored in Truth

In a world that’s constantly speaking to us, telling us who we should be, what we should fear, and how we should live....the Word of God is where we come back to truth.

and every one of thy righteous
judgments endureth for ever. - Psalm 119:160

God’s Word doesn’t shift with culture and it doesn’t change with seasons. It remains steady when everything else feels uncertain.

Every time that we open the Bible, we allow God to shape us, to steady our thoughts,
and to realign our hearts with what is true.

Some days the Word challenges us.

Some days it comforts us.

Some days it simply reminds us that we are not alone.

But EVERY time we open it, God meets us there.

And when His Word settles in us, worship becomes more than words we sing....
it becomes a response to who He is and what He has already spoken.

So as we continue to worship tonight, let’s be grateful for the truth of God’s Word
and ready our hearts to respond to Him.
