Since when did bullying become okay?
Because I must have missed the memo!
Everywhere I look now.....online, in comment sections, in churches, in conversations that should have been safe....I see people tearing each other down like it’s a sport. Bullying because of personal choices, political views, convictions, ethnicity, EVEN spiritual assignments!
Want to know the part that makes my stomach twist the most?
It's not just the world doing it.
It’s people who claim the name of Jesus.
It’s people who KNOW better.
It’s respected Apostolics.....men and women who preach modesty, holiness, separation… but somehow forgot that kindness was also commanded.
What's going on here!?
When did we get so comfortable throwing stones while holding a Bible in the same hand?
When did sarcasm replace compassion?
When did mocking become a ministry?
When did intimidating the vulnerable become a sign of “boldness” instead of immaturity?
No amount of anointing excuses cruelty!
No level of revelation permits disrespect!
No title validates tearing someone down! I don't care WHAT is going on in the world!
Bullying isn't discernment or correction. And it certainly isn't “standing for truth.”
It is a spirit! And it's NOT a holy one!
The Bible says, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Love.
That was the evidence.
But somewhere along the way, people exchanged authority for arrogance, conviction for condescension, and boldness for bullying.
And then,,,,,they slap “I'll pray for you” on it like that covers the stench.
Listen…if your voice wounds more than it heals, if your words crush more than they correct, and if your presence makes people shrink instead of rise,
it is NOT the Holy Ghost leading you.....it’s your flesh wearing a suit.
Bullying is usually birthed from insecurity, not righteousness. From pride, not purity. From fear, not faith.
And when Apostolics (people who preach that we are SET APART) start acting like the world’s mean girl squad, we stop being set apart in anything but name.
Your standards mean nothing if your spirit is ugly!
Your holiness means nothing if your heart is hard!
Your doctrine means nothing if your character cannot reflect Christ!
Because Jesus didn’t bully the woman at the well, did He?
He didn’t belittle Zacchaeus, did He?
He didn’t mock the demon-possessed, did He?
He didn’t ridicule the broken, did He?
He confronted spirits!
He never crushed souls!
And yet here we are....using our platforms, our pulpits, our posts, and sometimes our pews.....to elevate ourselves by humiliating someone else.
IT'S UNBECOMING AND DANGEROUS!
If we are going to be Apostolic, then let’s actually be Apostolic!
Restorers.
Intercessors.
Builders.
Healers.
Peacemakers.
Burden-bearers.
Truth-speakers with gentle tongues and fiery hearts.
Because bullying was never Christ-like.
It never will be.
And the Church should be the LAST place it’s tolerated.
So this is my letter to the bullies...yes, even the Apostolic ones....may conviction hit deeper than your words ever have.
Because revival will not come through harsh voices!
It will come through holy ones.
And holiness is never hateful.
