Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. Unshaken in Worship

We live in a nation that was founded on freedom, including.....the freedom to worship God openly. And yet, that freedom is under attack, more so than ever. We see it in the public square, we see it in the media, and we even see it in people being mocked, persecuted, and even killed simply for standing on God’s truth.

But Scripture has warned us that this would come. Jesus Himself said in John 16:33, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Our freedom in Christ is not granted by governments, and it cannot be taken by men. The cross purchased it, the empty tomb secured it, and the Spirit empowers it. That means even when earthly freedoms are challenged, we should still walk in the greater freedom God has given us - the freedom to worship in spirit and in truth.

So today, let’s not worship timidly. Let’s not shrink back because the culture says we should. Let’s lift our voices and proclaim boldly the One who set us free. Because freedom is not just a right, it’s a calling. And the darker the world becomes, the brighter the light of true worship needs to shine.
