Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. Lifted By His Love

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed,
because His compassions fail not.
– Lamentations 3:21–22

Just before these verses, Jeremiah was overwhelmed with sorrow, grief, and loss. He was looking at ruins all around him, feeling crushed under the weight of suffering, even wondering if God had turned away. His words drip with heaviness, like someone who has lost all strength and peace.

But then he stops… and brings truth back to mind.

* God’s mercy.
* God’s compassion.
* God’s unfailing love.

That memory of who God is shifted his heart from despair to hope.

And isn’t that what we need, too? To pause in the middle of life’s heaviness and remember that the only reason we are still standing is because of His mercies.

His compassion has held us up when we could have fallen.
His love has kept us when everything else was falling apart.

That’s one of the reasons we can sing today, isn’t it?

We’re not just filling the room with sound. We’re declaring the truth......that God’s mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness is great.

So let’s worship with hope in our hearts and gratitude on our lips, lifting our voices to the One whose mercy never fails.
