One Woman. One Mic. A Cappella Mayhem

Since we have no music to let you know it’s time to stand, I’m just going to ask you to stand with me now ....and we’ll go ahead and acknowledge the obvious.

Yes, I am standing up here by myself. No instruments. No team. Nobody to bail me out if I hit a weird note. And it’s okay!  Because God is here and He is NEVER off key.

While instruments and volume absolutely have their place in praising Him.....and we love that kind of worship.....tonight just looks a little different. But different doesn’t mean less powerful. Because what TRULY makes worship powerful… is Jesus. And we’ve got Him!

James 4:8 says Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

We draw near. He draws near. No background music required.

Now, listen…I may be the only one up here with a microphone, but I’m not the only one worshipping tonight. Right? You didn’t come just to spectate, you came to participate.

So if you’ve got a voice (and even if you don’t think it’s choir material), I want you to help me sing.

I truly believe God wants to do something sweet tonight. Something personal for each one of us. Sometimes, that happens best in moments just like this....when it’s simple. When all the distractions fade, and all we have left are hearts that are hungry for Him.

So let’s press in and usher the presence of God in together as we open our mouths and our hearts and give Him the praise He deserves.
