Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. Set Your Love on God

I was continuing with my walk through the book of Psalm and I digested this verse a bit. I wanted to share.

Psalm 91:14 says " Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

Do you know what it means to set your love upon God? What does it look like?

"Set" implies something that is steady and unwavering. It's deliberate. It's not a fleeting feeling. ...Think of it like choosing where to place your heart's anchor.

To love Him deeply is to put HIM first...above your fears, desires, and (yes) even the people you love. It's aligning your life with Him even when it's hard.

It means intentionally and wholeheartedly choosing God as the object of your deepest affection, loyalty, and trust. It's not just an emotion. It's a decision to cling to Him ABOVE ALL ELSE.

HIS response to this?
He promises deliverance and intimate care. It's a relationship of MUTUAL devotion.....yours in love.....and His in faithful rescue.
