The Kind of Love That Doesn't Walk Away
This is for the second group.
The ones who were walked on, overlooked, and used until they believed that’s all they were good for.
The ones who kept giving and giving, just to be left empty.
If that’s you, then you’ve probably heard people say, “God loves you.” But instead of feeling comforted, it just made you uncomfortable.
Because it doesn’t feel true.
How could it?
That kind of history doesn’t just go away. It teaches you that you’re hard to love. Unworthy. Disposable.
So when someone says “God’s love is unconditional,” it sounds like a foreign language. Or worse .... like a cruel joke.
But here’s the truth -
God’s love isn’t like theirs.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8
While we were still breaking things. Still hurting. Still doubting. Still wrecked by the fallout of what others did to us...or what we did to ourselves.
He looked at us, saw the whole story, and still said, “You’re worth it.”
That love isn’t surface-level. It’s not performance-based, and it doesn’t disappear when you’re struggling.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. - Psalm 34:18
If you’ve numbed yourself to survive, He says, "You don’t have to live in survival mode anymore".
He doesn’t push away the anxious, the angry, the addicted, or the ones still trying to figure it all out!
Especially not them!
And especially not you!
So yeah, maybe you don’t feel lovable. Maybe you were taught that love always comes with a price. But God’s love already paid that price!
And He’s not going anywhere!
He hears that. He honors that.
And......He stays.
You may not feel it yet. But you’re not invisible. You’re not forgotten. You’re not too broken.
You are loved - fully, fiercely, without condition.
Yes.... I'm talking to YOU!
