Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. The Hug That Spoke Loudly

The Hug That Spoke Loudly

There was fear in his eyes -
not the kind that runs,
but the kind that lingers quietly
in the corners of strength,
where breath becomes fragile
and time dares to pause.

He looked at us,
as if memorizing the
shape of love before it
slipped between the seconds.

And yet, beneath that glassy veil,
his heart beat loud
with a truth unspoken -
a fierce, boiling love
too big for his bones to hold.

Then came a familiar voice - his son’s,
quiet but steady,
and with it, an embrace
from the boy he once carried -
now a man,
wrapping him in love
too deep for words.

And the storm in his chest
calmed.
His eyes found peace,
just for a moment -
as if touched by something
not of this world.

A reminder that love
is louder than fear,
and softer than pain.

He is still here -
each day a gift,
each breath a borrowed miracle.

And though we saw fear in his eyes,
what we felt more
was the power of love
fighting to stay.
