Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. He Is Still Worthy - 5.1.25

May 1st, 2025

As we come into worship, let’s focus on something simple.  So simple but oh so powerful: who God is.

Not just what He’s done for us (though He’s done so much) but His character. His unchanging attributes. The Bible tells us He is good. He is merciful. He is faithful. He is holy. And He never stops being those things.

Sometimes, we come into worship carrying heaviness, questions. Maybe even silence from people we love or situations that we just don’t understand. But there is healing in turning our eyes away from what’s missing and setting them fully on the One who lacks nothing.

When we worship God because of who He is, we align our hearts with truth. We remind ourselves AND our situations that He is still sovereign, still near - and He is still worthy.

Psalm 145:8–9
“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all his works.”

Every word we sing tonight is a response to that truth.

That He’s good.

That His name is powerful.

That His presence brings peace.

That even if everything around us shifts…..He doesn’t. He is constant. He is personal. And He is here.

So as we sing tonight, let these songs be more than melodies…let them be our hearts recognizing and declaring the greatness of our God.
