Last night in prayer, I kept hearing a word over and over again....
“Avail”
It echoed deep in my spirit, and James 5:16 came to mind:
“.......The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
I’ve read that verse countless times, but the more I think about it today, it feels like He was underlining it just for me.
That word "availeth" is not just poetic. It’s prophetic.
It means - to be strong, to be a force, to produce results, to prevail.
It means.....YOUR PRAYERS MATTER!
In a world where answers feel delayed and silence sometimes stretches long, the enemy would love to whisper, "You're wasting your breath."
But God’s Word says the opposite!
“The prayers of the righteous avail. They work. They move things. They are never wasted.”
Maybe you’re in a battle right now. Maybe you’ve been praying with everything in you....for healing, for breakthrough, for a prodigal, for clarity.
And it feels quiet.
Hear me today..... quiet does NOT mean inactive.
If you belong to Jesus, your prayers are doing more than you know. Even when it feels like nothing is happening, something is.
There’s movement in the Heavens!
There's alignment in the spirit!
There's oil being poured, chains being loosened, hearts being softened ... all because you chose to pray!
God may be speaking to you, like He did to me, through a single word......AVAIL.
That’s His way of saying:
“I see your prayer. I hear your cry. And I’m doing something with it.”
Keep going! Keep praying!
There is power in the prayer of the righteous ..... not because of us, but because of Him.
You may not see it yet, but your prayers are pushing back darkness, pulling Heaven into earth, and releasing outcomes only God can orchestrate.
So when you’re weary, remember this:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
Your words are not falling flat.
They’re rising.
They’re fighting.
They’re availing.
