Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. It is NOT in vain! - 4.6.25

April 6th, 2025)

I want to speak real quick to those of you who feel tired. Those of you who have been praying, serving, believing, trusting .... but it doesn’t seem like anything is changing.

Maybe you’ve been pouring into your family...and you wonder if they’re even listening.

Maybe you’ve been working hard at your job, trying to be a light, but instead....you feel overlooked and drained?

Maybe you’ve been battling an addiction, a habit, or a mindset, and you’re wondering, "Will I ever break free?"

If that’s you, please hear 1 Corinthians 15:58 today:

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Paul’s not just giving us a pep talk …. he’s giving us a truth we can stand on.

  1. He says “be steadfast”. Keep showing up. Even when you don’t feel like it. Even when you’re exhausted. Even when it feels like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling—keep pressing in. Your feelings will shift, but God never does.
  2. He says “be unmovable”. Life will shake you. Pain will come. People will disappoint you. But don’t let anything move you from who you are in Christ. When everything feels unstable, remember that HE is your anchor.
  3. And he says “Always abound in the work of the Lord.” Not just when it’s easy. Not just when people notice. Not just when you feel strong. Abound—overflow! Serve when you’re tired. Love when it’s hard. Give when it costs you something.

Because here’s the promise: IT. IS. NOT. IN. VAIN.

That prayer you whispered when you were too exhausted to speak? Not in vain.
That act of kindness that you thought was ignored? Not in vain.
Those seeds that you planted in faith but still haven’t seen anything come of it?  Not in vain.

Continuing in ministry when response feels low?  Not in vain.

When you went up to the altar and didn’t feel anything?  Not in van.

That time you worshiped through your tears? Not in vain.

God sees every single thing you do for Him. He catches every tear and hears every whimper and sigh.

I know it’s hard sometimes. I know the enemy whispers, "What’s the point?" But listen—the point is eternity! The point is that Jesus has already won. The point is that your faithfulness here is storing up treasures in Heaven. The point is that there is someone standing in line at the grocery store that needs to hear your testimony! The point is that your family NEEDS you to keep going because you’re carrying them to the altar. The point is that everything you go for the Kingdom of God matters!

So I’ll say it again: KEEP GOING.

Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep fighting. Keep serving. Because the God who called you is faithful, and NOTHING you do for Him is wasted.
