Repurposing

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.                    - Isaiah 43:18-19  Whew!  It's been a journey!  While I am glad to be this far into it, I am saddened that not everything that the Lord has done was documented.  HOWEVER, I will share as He brings it to my remembrance.    I will be using this to post my studies that I share twice a month in church and also to share my personal studies as they arise and the Lord leads me to share them.   The grief and healing journey I have been on since my son passed from suicide is more of an in-person ministry right now as it is a raw and sensitive situation.  I am very protective over my son and his sisters and have an obligation to protect their privacy. Holding On When It Hurts

There are moments in life that leave us staring at circumstances with tear filled eyes, wondering how it could possibly turn around.

We pray, wait, hope and yet sometimes things still look worse before they get better.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to our prodigals… those we love who seem to be drifting further from the Lord.....not closer.  Well, at least in OUR eyes.

It can feel like nothing is working, like all our efforts are in vain.

But here’s the truth that anchors us in these seasons -

For we walk by faith, not by sight... — 2 Corinthians 5:7

This kind of faith doesn’t rely on what we see with our natural eyes. It clings to what we know to be true about our God!

He is faithful. He is able. He is present. And He is working......always.

Even when things look impossible, God is in EVERY detail!

He sees your child when you can’t. He knows their every thought, every wound, every running step. You may not be able to reach them, but GOD CAN. He knows how to speak their language. He knows when to draw near, when to whisper, and when to wait.

The same God who called Lazarus out of the grave is the One who can call your prodigal out of rebellion, addiction, bitterness, or despair.

He is not intimidated by darkness, and He is NOT limited by time.

When God moves, He moves with precision!

He has not forgotten your prayers!

Keep Praying, Keep Believing!

It pays to continue walking in faith.....even when our eyes tell us that nothing is changing. Sometimes we want quick breakthroughs, but God is often doing a deep work beneath the surface.

He’s not just changing their behavior....He’s drawing their hearts.

Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop believing. Even when it hurts. Even when you feel weary. Your faith is not in vain. Your tears are not wasted. Every whispered prayer, every sleepless night, every time you choose faith over fear....it’s seen. It’s sown. And it will be harvested in God’s time.

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” — Psalm 126:5

God is not just the God of second chances.... He’s the God of redemption. He takes what the enemy meant for evil and uses it for good! He restores the years the locusts have eaten. He brings beauty from ashes. He calls the lost by name and brings them home.

So today, if you’re holding on for someone you love, take heart. Keep walking. Keep believing. Don’t measure the outcome by what your eyes see, but by what your spirit knows ...your God is faithful, and nothing is impossible for Him.
